A constructive session for the wheel
Closing assessment from the Department of Cultured Assets. Published at 20:00 UTC.
CT30 3,029.37 ▲ 0.73%
Buyers were present in size and in good humour. The Cheddar 30 closed up 0.73% at 3,029.37. Squeeze reserve led the board with a gain of 6.01%, while Parmesan fell 3.98% and finished the session at 155.05 curds.
The 11:00 cellar inspection found irregular moisture in blue inventories. The inspectors declined to elaborate and left through the side door. At 15:00 the fondue desk lowered its temperature target, a decision the committee described as neither hard nor soft. Processed finished as the strongest sector at +3.01%, with smoked the weakest at -2.21%. The rind integrity hearing at 17:30 lifted washed-rind names into the close.
Positioning looks crowded in the soft names, which tend to spread when pressed. We continue to rate the broad board Melt and remain constructive on Squeeze reserve. Cracker coverage is adequate. The strategic biscuit reserve was not touched.
