A constructive session for the wheel
Closing assessment from the Department of Cultured Assets. Published at 20:00 UTC.
CT30 2,969.53 ▲ 0.95%
Demand held up across most of the board. The Cheddar 30 closed up 0.95% at 2,969.53. Roquefort led the board with a gain of 8.08%, while Camembert fell 4.96% and finished the session at 96.04 curds.
The 11:00 cellar inspection gave washed-rind holdings a clean bill of health, and the inspectors stayed for a second plate. At 15:00 the fondue desk raised its temperature target, a decision the committee described as firm but yielding. Blue finished as the strongest sector at +4.95%, with fresh the weakest at -2.29%. The cracker supply report at 17:30 lifted blue names into the close.
We expect volatility to persist while the board debates the definition of a slice. We continue to rate the broad board Melt and remain constructive on Roquefort. Cracker coverage is adequate. The strategic biscuit reserve was not touched.
