A constructive session for the wheel
Closing assessment from the Department of Cultured Assets. Published at 20:00 UTC.
CT30 2,946.12 ▲ 0.11%
Demand held up across most of the board. The Cheddar 30 closed up 0.11% at 2,946.12. Epoisses led the board with a gain of 7.56%, while Cave blue fell 6.78% and finished the session at 43.17 curds.
The 11:00 cellar inspection gave blue holdings a clean bill of health, and the inspectors stayed for a second plate. At 15:00 the fondue desk lowered its temperature target, a decision the committee described as well within the rind. Fresh finished as the strongest sector at +3.71%, with blue the weakest at -4.30%. The whey inventory release at 17:30 weighed on smoked names into the close.
The outlook depends on aging conditions and on whether the lunch committee returns on time. We continue to rate the broad board Melt and remain constructive on Epoisses. Cracker coverage is adequate. The strategic biscuit reserve was not touched.
